Habitat
Off the rocks and beaches, surf zones, river mouths (Madalena, Machico, Paul do Mar).
Method
Spinning metals/poppers, float-fished live/strip bait — use a bite trace (teeth cut mono).
Bait & lures
Mackerel strip, live mackerel, long-casting metals.
Legal sizes per Portaria 484/2016/M (Anexo II). Always confirm with the Direção Regional de Pescas.
